Who are we?

The founders of the RacingCUBE project, Steffen & Tommy started in 2013 developing a new generation of motion simulators. In the summer of 2015 a prototype was finished, and the project was announced on Kickstarter. After an unsuccessful campaign the decision was made to fund the project by own money and the development time was extended two years to ensure a better and more powerful simulator.

The unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign would later unfold as a huge advantage for the development of the RC4 as the whole platform was re-invented and polished into the product we have today. With the extra development time and not being forced to deliver on a certain date the components and firmware was tested thoroughly over the years.

The core concept of the simulator is modularity and simple design. A powerful motion simulator that fits in the living room was a must for the design. As the different prototypes was ready it was clear that the goal could be achieved and thus the original design was abandoned in favor to the new and more powerful one.

To this day, the project and company have not received any investments from partners and the RacingCUBE brand is therefore 100% owned by the founders. With own production, R&D and sales department there is complete control over development, design and business relations.

To overcome the creation of the website, customer enquiries, and the production of the simulator Steffen and Tommy split the tasks up in two companies. FaseTech – The reseller, IT responsible, and customer relations and B2B relations. RacingCUBE – The production and R&D company.

The RacingCUBE project started in 2013. It was merely an idea of virtual reality combined with the motions of a real car or plane. The project was started as we experienced sickness with the first development model of the Oculus Rift. We quickly discovered that motion correspondent the in-game movements was helping with that. At first the RacingCUBE project had no name, no business insensitive nor even any expectations. We quickly discovered a potential as motion platforms was rare at the time.
The first pre-prototype was ready in 2014, it was made of wood and was not very strong. We abandoned that prototype in favour of a model made of steel. This model could even move side to side or back and forth. The only problem here; it was dangerous and would never be CE, PSE or FCC approved. A new prototype was developed with more safety and strength in mind, this was the last prototype before the CV1 model went into production.
To this date we continue to develop and improve on existing models and we are currently at version 3 of the RC4. We have a lot of plans for the future, new models and accessories to come.
